Ireland Active Energy Advice

AIB recently announced a €100 million Fund for businesses to complete energy efficiency projects, after researching that one third of SMEs do not understand their energy bills and 86 per cent do not know how to lower them. Additionally, the CER recently approved another energy price increase for 2014, resulting in an increase of Gas prices by 35% since 2011, and electricity by 21%.

However, you can lower your Energy bills. Start by ensuring your Tariff and fixed charges are correct e.g. last year we corrected a tariff for one business saving them €39,087 annually, while we corrected the MIC for another client who was paying an excess of €2,067 per month.

The next step is to Group Buy your Electricity by combining your consumption with other businesses to get a group rate which is better than you can negotiate individually e.g. we recently implemented a 16% reduction for a 22 member group in Munster.
